History
When I was six years old, a
group of violinists played at my primary school. As soon as I got home
that day, I bugged my parents to buy me a violin. Of course, violins
are extremely expensive
and it was simply not an option. However, I was able to
hire a violin and take lessons. I gave up about 6 weeks later. (The
only thing I managed to get right was the position of my feet!)
Three years down the track, my family purchased an old piano.
I heard my sister playing a catchy tune and asked her to teach me how to play it.
This tune got me overly interested in the piano and even inspired
me to write my own little
pieces of music. After that, I taught myself how to play other
songs.
One serious regret I have about my musical history is not taking piano
lessons when I was young. I now struggle through the easiest grades bit by
bit. The hardest part is giving up my bad habits I picked up in my young
ages.
Concerning my music composing, what really got me into it was the music
from video games. I used to hum the tunes from
old SEGA games regularly! When I was eleven I played a game on the
PlayStation called 'Final Fantasy VII' - a world renowned game. The one
thing that captivated me the most about it was the way the music worked
with the amazing scenes in the game.
And here I am now; Talking about my musical history!
